Free Speech For One Dollar

As director/camera/editor, I made this short doc in a little less than three weeks. It is inspired by the protests going on across the University of California campuses, composed of both faculty and students, against the various proposals on the table addressing how to resolve the budget cuts that the university faces. The president of the University is laying off faculty, cutting programs and raising tuition. This is an issue of access to public higher education and will trickle down into every other aspect of our society if nothing is done about this. This is an attempt to bring this issue into the public eye. Education is a public good.

‘Cache’

I co-produced/filmed/directed/starred/edited a fifteen minute documentary film called Caché

that explores the experience of Chinatown for its inhabitants and its visitors and the concept of cultural access. This film was showcased in a film festival in  2007 at the Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley.
